Modern Line Furniture
Modern furniture or also known as contemporary furniture is identified from its minimalist design. It is simple and nearly plain yet functional and easy to be arranged either in large houses or small flats – another benefit that makes modern line furniture become a favorite among the furniture customers.
The modern furniture itself refers to furniture produced from the late 19th century through the present that is influenced by modernism. It has some distinctive characters compare to the classic furniture – Dark or gilded carved wood and richly patterned fabrics replaced by glittering simplicity and geometry of polished metal. The form of furniture is transformed from visually heavy to visually light. The use of some new material is also one of the characteristic of modern furniture – it involves the use of molded plywood, MDF, and veneer.
The modern or contemporary furniture is evolved from time to time – up to today. Designers are still seeking new materials, with which to produce unique forms, still employing simplicity and lightness of form, in preference to heavy ornament or details.
